Hey folks ๐ itโs Emily here from ContentUK
In this newsletter weโve got:
- Details of the October meetup ๐
- Other events for your diary ๐
- Jobs jobs jobs ๐ค
- And first, a short update from me ๐
This week I was writing an article and had a nagging feeling of "this feels really familiar." I put it down to the fact that I've worked with this company for a long time and I've probably touched on most of the topics at some point.
Spoiler alert! I'd written a version of this article a year ago ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
Thankfully I spotted it and flagged before I got too far, and suggested some changes to refresh and add to the existing post instead. Crisis avoided!
But it sparked a conversation about how we approach updating existing content, and got me thinking about other ways to make best use of the company's extensive body of content.
Customer stories felt like a great place to start, as they're something unique to the business.
I'm now building out a Notion database organising some of the key case studies, pulling out the most important stats and sorting them by product and topic. This will help me (and other writers) reference those customer stories more frequently, getting more value than if they're just buried on their site.
Over to you - what's one thing you can do to make use of an older piece of content this month? ๐ง Catch you next time!
