need a hand finding your next job? (& August meetup)

Hey folks 👋 it’s Emily here from ContentUK

In this newsletter we’ve got:

  • An opportunity to test an interesting new AI tool 👀
  • Details of the August meetup 📆
  • Jobs jobs jobs 🤝
  • But first, a short community update from me 👇

At last month’s meetup we started talking about the job market. Some people had just started in new roles, others were actively looking, and some were trying to make a whole career shift.

From job-seekers, I heard a few different things:

“I’ve been ghosted mid-way through the hiring process”

“I’ve gone freelance because it was taking too long to find a good full-time opportunity”

And on the recruitment side:

“The jobs are out there, but they’re all at senior or director level”

“I haven’t seen the job market like this in 20 years”.

But we all agreed: It’s weird out there.

Which is what prompted me to bring back the ContentUK jobs board. It was always the first place I looked when I was job-hunting a few years ago.

I loved knowing that all the jobs on the board were suitable for a UK-based content marketer like myself, rather than reading through an exciting job description and realising at the last line they were only looking for US-based applicants (made that mistake multiple times, including actually applying 😭)

Looking for a job? Check it out. Hiring a content pro? Share your listing with the community.

Catch you next time!

P.S. I've switched email platform following some "creative differences" with the last one so if this looks wonky, please let me know!

🚨 Product testers wanted

Do you fancy testing a new AI copilot for content creators? Lewis has built a tool that makes it easy to daisy chain prompts across different models - think Zapier for content. Example workflow here and example output from this workflow.

Lewis is looking for beta testers and has promised a LOT of free credits for anyone interested in helping him validate his tool. If you’re interesting in testing please email Lewis (he has no landing page yet) and mention ContentUK.
