how are you finding the job market right now? (+ March meetup)

This edition is brought to you by our friends at Demand-Genius

84% of AI prompts produce no brand citations.

Most B2B influence happens in Dark AI: the invisible conversations where buyers explore problems and build requirements before they ever search for solutions. By the time citations appear, the decision is already made.

Demand-Genius helps you shape the conversations beneath the surface. Understand how LLMs describe your brand across the buyer journey. Identify the content debt eroding AI confidence. Act on insights at scale to keep your library coherent and influential.

Hey folks 👋 it’s Emily here from ContentUK

In this newsletter we’ve got:

  • Details of our next meetup 🎉
  • Jobs 🤝
  • And first, a short update from me 👇

In case you don't know, once a month I host a meetup in London for people working in content marketing. (If you've been along to one recently - hiya 👋)

Every meetup I speak to multiple people who are on the job hunt. Sometimes they're folks just starting their careers - a couple of months ago I met several people who were just finishing uni and looking for their first jobs. Sometimes they're mid-career and looking for their next move. And sometimes they're making a career change and moving into content from something completely different.

That's why I set up the ContentUK jobs board a few months back, to try and provide a reliable place to look for content marketing roles. So I was really interested to read Semrush's recent study looking at US-based content jobs, and how roles are changing over there. They found demand for senior-level roles is growing quickly, while mid-level and junior roles are scarcer. I'm still seeing plenty of mid-level roles, but junior positions are few and far between...

If you're hiring or looking for your next role, check out our jobs board. And if you haven't made it to a meetup yet, I'd love to see you at the next one (details below)

Catch you next time!

-Emily

Hey folks 👋 it’s Emily here from ContentUK In this newsletter we’ve got: Details of our next meetup A sneak peek into the Slack community Jobs And first, a short update from me Many moons ago I worked at an agency and one of my clients was... a nightmare. They wanted ✨perfection✨ from every piece we worked on. We'd pitch ideas, go back and forth for weeks just to get something approved to work on, so nothing got published. Articles would get stuck in countless rounds of revisions, with...
